Creating a laundry detergent that truly reflected Mamaforest’s values — good ingredients, easy housekeeping, reliable quality, and less waste — was far from an easy journey.

The development process involved countless rounds of research and testing. Some projects had to be completely abandoned when we discovered an uncomfortable user experience at the final sample stage. Even products that had already completed their packaging and were ready to launch sometimes revealed unexpected issues at the very last stage. When that happened, we had no choice but to start the research all over again.

Finding the right balance was another challenge. Choosing good ingredients was only the beginning. We still had to overcome numerous challenges to achieve the cleaning performance we wanted.

And even after finding the right balance between ingredients and function, it took extensive time and research to develop a formulation that was truly convenient for everyday use.

Laundry detergents have continuously evolved to make washing easier and more convenient. 

From 1st-generation laundry soap, to 2nd-generation powder detergent, 3rd-generation liquid detergent, and 4th-generation capsule detergent.

For Mamaforest, the next step was the 5th generation: paper-type laundry detergent.

But creating a laundry sheet was not simply about making detergent thinner or more convenient. Many laundry sheets already existed on the market, but we wanted to develop something that stayed true to Mamaforest’s philosophy — from the ingredients and formulation to its usability and environmental impact.

At the same time, the formulation had to deliver the functions consumers actually need — without making laundry more complicated.

That led to Mamaforest Laundry Paper: a lightweight, convenient laundry sheet designed to provide the essential functions of laundry care in one simple sheet.

Mamaforest Laundry Paper has undergone 25 allergy-free testing and is formulated with ingredients selected with everyday skin contact in mind.

Rather than only disclosing selected ingredients, Mamaforest transparently reveals the full list of ingredients - even when not required to do so by laundry detergent regulations.

Inspired by the forest, Mamaforest incorporated tree extracts and an allergy-free lavender garden scent, creating what they call a “Laundry Forest Bath” experience.

The paper-based format helps reduce the need for bulky plastic detergent bottles, with recyclable plastic and paper packaging used for the product.
